This workshop will feature demonstrations of collage processes and hands-on work with mixed media painting and layered materials. Investigate various approaches to the collaged composition, such as spatial organization, balance, and color mixing. $60 members/$70 non-members

Join the Hyde Park Art Center and Cream Co. for a free event: Conversation with Larry Rinder and Human Chess Game, an interactive performance in conjunction with the current exhibition, For Real.
In this one-day workshop students can learn about the tradition of making an alfombra, an art form originating out of medieval Spain. Participants will create individual alfombra designs by creating a template and using colored sawdust that can be adhered to a small board.
